WagletWorks has been making a difference for animals since it was first conceived. We started out by raising money as a group for the Greater Miami Humane Society for their 'Walk for the Animals' about a year ago. As soon as we got product, we began donating products to many groups all around the country that were looking to have silent auctions and raffles to raise money for their animal causes.
But, we were looking for a way to make a difference 'paws on the ground' in our very own community.
That's When We Found Paws 4 You Rescue
They are a group who is constantly rescuing animals from Miami's Dade County Animal Shelter; fostering them and working tirelessly to find them good homes. This dedicated group of volunteers does so much in the face of the worst case of animal overpopulation, possibly the worst case in the country.
So many dogs are euthanized every day in Dade County, it is more than most places may find in a year.
Why exactly have we chosen to team up with Paws 4 You Rescue?
Paws 4 You Rescue came to our attention because they really put it out there. They have many events throughout the year, in so many different venues and demographics, we thought it was a good bet that a huge impact on many different aspects of the community could be made.
There are golf events, cocktail events, art events - even music concerts - drawing a wide and diverse range of patronage. Because they are right here in our community, we felt we stand the greatest chance of making a hands-on difference here. We have joined forces with them in creating future events, and to help come up with more and more creative ideas of ways to get people together to have fun and help animals.
How do we offer a helping hand to Paws 4 You Rescue?
We support them at events by offering up our products for silent auctions and raffles, goodie bags, or whatever is needed.
We will be donating 5% of total profits for the year to their cause, which will be allocated in quarterly installments. We hope that as WagletWorks continues to grow, we will be able to do even more.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
Paws 4 You Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer, donor-subsidized animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida whose top priority it is to save animals from euthanasia at the Miami-Dade Animal Services in which an average of 100 animals are destroyed...every day.
